"DEVILS WILL GET A NEW NAME"  Residents of this hamlet in Eastern Washington are choosing a new name for Wilson Creek High School's athletic teams, which have been called 'the Devils' for 42 years. 

School Principal Tom Wilson is taking suggestions for a new mascot that students, teachers and the community can take pride in.  Tom says, "Wilson Creek is a conservative community, with strong conservative Christian values, and they have not been jumping up and down and shouting about the current mascot. 

People seem to have some concern that there is a connotation of Satanism, and others just do not like the word."

Oregon's Wilson Creek High School is still calling itsElf a high school,
and their mascot is now named ???  20040215 still no answer
We sent a letter out to their board member asking new name 200401 early and no,
there is no organic garden where children can learn nature at this programming center.
