Dear Lucy…we are here rooting for you to quit smoking and be able to give thanks for being free of it. You will never realize how much better you feel until you get those lungs clear. I seem to be nudged now that you may not realize that if you do the deep breathing exercises that are on The Healing Breath tape that I produced and think you use or if you practice yoga … you must never smoke for at least half an hour or more after you are done doing the deep breathing work. You will take the smoke way too deeply into your lungs if you do, according to those I have worked with over the years.
All addictions are such a problem, but smoking is not rated nearly as high as alcohol and other drugs. Interestingly enough, alcohol is the most deadly of all drugs because it is the only one you can die from during withdrawal … yet so many people think of heroin and marijuana and such when talking about drug addictions that lead to death … they produce a kind of walking death or comatose life that is only half alert … but not death upon removal. The worst addiction according to all psychologists in the field is gambling and no one ever believes you can recover once it gets its claws into you … it is that bad! So, think about smoking as the need to hold something in your fingers and place a carrot stick there … LOL I have seen many people over the years do that and kick the habit while at work. No one ever stopped them from doing it even if it looked a bit odd … because everyone appreciates what it takes to end a dependency like that.
Take care and continue to work on your health…it will definitely help you later in life to quit as soon as possible now.
